Joseph Lewis, a 22-year-old black man, was found dead Friday, July 29, in the 5600 block of Palos Verdes Drive South in Rancho Palos Verdes, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Lewis' body was discovered by hikers at Abalone Cove Shoreline Park about 10 p.m., near trails that lead to the ocean, an official with the L.A. County Sheriff's Department said.
The victim, who is from San Pedro, had been shot several times in the upper torso.
