Juan Llanos, a 31-year-old Latino man, was killed in a drive-by shooting in the 12800 block of San Pedro Street in Athens about 9:15 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8. Llanos was taken by ambulance to a hospital, where he died at 9:38 p.m.
According to sheriff's homicide detectives, Llanos was standing on the sidewalk when two black men in a dark compact car pulled alongside him and shot him. The car drove north on San Pedro Street, authorities said.
