Juan Sanchez, a 20-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Sunday, March 7, in the 1200 block of East 68th Street in Florence-Firestone, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Sanchez was attending a backyard party about 2 a.m. when he got involved in an argument which escalated to a fight with an unknown suspect, said Det. Louis Aguilera of the Sheriff's Homicide Bureau. Seven reader comments about Juan Sanchez

I would just like to say that i will always love my dear friend until the end. this weekend i will say goodbye to the one person who i can say was a wonderful person. he left three beautiful kids behind and for that god has given him an oppurtunity to raise his kids through a halo that will always protect them. god has taken away the one person that has left everyone not just with precious memories but with great laughter. his family will mis him dearly and for that i would like to say that he was not only my best friend for 13 years but like a brother i always wish i had. goodbye Juanito may you protect your friends and family always and look over us with nothing but smiles. i love you.

In my opinion of this whole snitching thing, it's all a bunch of BS. That person who holds the responsibility of Juan's death will never live in peace. Therefore, we must just focus on ourselves and live happy like Juan would want us to do so. RIP Juan Sanchez

Even though i hold little memories of you, i know that a great personality lived inside you...
