Juan Solis, 20

Died Nov. 30, 2012 at 1:13 a.m.

Juan Solis, identified by the coroner's office as a 20-year-old white man, was fatally shot Friday, Nov. 30, in the 200 block of North Avenue 55 in Highland Park, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Police responding to a 911 call about 1 a.m. discovered Solis shot in an alley behind his home.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. Coroner’s records show he suffered a shotgun wound to his neck.

The shooting is believed to be gang-related. The investigation is continuing.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact the LAPD at (877) 275-5273. Tipsters wishing to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-8477.
