Julian Castandez Jimenez, a 47-year-old Latino, was fatally shot Friday, July 22, in the 3400 block of Alma Street in Lynwood, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office, said people heard gunshots about 1:14 a.m. and found Jimenez wounded.
Authorities were called and the victim was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead at 1:42 a.m.
The coroner's office had no other information about the case.
