Kevin Dion Baldwin, a 33-year-old black man, was fatally shot while standing with four friends in the driveway of a residence in the 7500 block of South Figueroa Street about 10:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 6.
Police said an unknown black male approached the group on foot, pulled out a handgun and fired repeatedly. Baldwin was pronounced dead at the scene from multiple gunshot wounds. A second victim was also hit multiple times and was expected to survive. A third sustained a gunshot wound to his foot and was treated at the scene.
