Kevin Beverly, a 27-year-old black man, was fatally shot Friday, Jan. 27, in the 1100 block of East 84th Street in Florence-Firestone, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Beverly was shot in an alley about 5:40 p.m., said Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office. Authorities were called and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene

Coroner's records show Beverly sustained several gunshot wounds to his body.

Winter had no other information about the shooting.
