Kirk Kirby, a 21-year-old black man, was shot and killed Monday, Jan. 16, in the 9800 block of South Main Street in Broadway-Manchester, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner’s office, said Kirby was in a car about 4:30 p.m. when person stepped out in front of him and began shooting.
Authorities were called and the victim was taken to a hospital where he died at 7:34 p.m.
Winter had no other information about the killing.
