Eight reader comments about Larry Howard

To Anyone Who Cares:

Larry Howard was a student, football player, and a brilliant young man. I was fortunate to be his teacher for several classes at S.M. Dorsey HS from 2005-2007. Larry always had a winning smile, a thoughtful sentiment, and a witty comment for anyone to enjoy.

Even as a teacher, sometimes I had to take a break to laugh at/with Larry. He didn't care, as long as you laughed. He made countless minutes go by in class with his sense of humor and charisma. I used to call him B.I.G. Jr., because he could control a crowd.

What could have been possible for this bright African American youth (now another-statistic-unsolved-gang-related-black-male-homicide ##??), had it not been for these unfortunate violent circumstances?

Pray for us all.

Larry i must say watching you grow up was truly a blessing. You had such a charming personality it hard t believe that someone wanted to end your life. I remember times when you would stick up for the under dogs and less fortunate. I always told you Larry your not like some of these people out there because you care about people and there are people out there who don't have nothing to care about......you will be truly missed
