Larry Johnson III, a 20-year-old black man, was shot and killed Wednesday, April 11, in the 2300 block of West 54th Street in Hyde Park, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Johnson was shot several times while walking home about 10:50 a.m., said Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office.
Authorities were called and the victim was taken to the hospital where he died at 11:20 a.m.
Winter had no suspect information.
