Larry Scott, 25

Larry Scott, 25, a black man, was stabbed in the chest at 10021 South Western Ave. in South-Central Los Angeles, and died at 4:38 p.m. Wednesday, May 2.

Detectives called this case a possible self-defense homicide which took place during a fight in LAPD's 77th Street Division. He was stabbed by Gerald Taylor, 52, also a black man, who suffered injuries from the fight serious enough to require hospitalization, including a broken arm and leg. The fight had to do with a long-running argument between neighbors, according to investigators.

Update: This case was ruled a justifiable homicide. No charges were filed.
