Leonardo Benitez, an 18-year-old Latino, was shot in the head and died on Sunday, Aug. 2, according to the Los Angeles County coroner's office.Benitez was shot in the 1100 block of Hoffman Avenue in Long Beach, and died at noon in the hospital, said Craig Harvey, chief coroner investigator.
