Lionell Carr, 19

Died June 29, 2011

Lionell Carr, a 19-year-old black man, was shot and killed Wednesday, June 29, in the 6900 block of South Denver Avenue in Harbor Gateway, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office, said Carr was walking down the street about 11:09 a.m. when a car drove up and the occupant began shooting.

Carr was hit by the gunfire and attempted to run from the area, Winter said. He collapsed a short distance away.

Authorities were called, and Carr was taken to a hospital where he died at 11:45 a.m. Coroner's records show he died from several gunshot wounds.

LIONELL was the sweetest,mannerable and careing person.He was preparing for his high school graduation ceromony.The family was very proud of this youngman and I know that if everyone knew of this link there wouldnt be room for the
many responses.My youngest daughter turned 21 the day my nephew was murdered and birthdays will never be the same for her. OUR LIVES WILL NEVER BE THE SAME !!! PLEASE HELP OBTAIN JUSTICE FOR LIONELL !!!
