Luciano Barajas, a 28 year-old Latino, was found in a shallow grave at 22550 E. Fork Road in the Angeles National Forest on Saturday, March 17.
His death was subsequently called a homicide. Detectives said he may have been killed up to two weeks earlier to the discovery of his body by a hiker. The hiker alerted authorities after seeing a foot sticking out of an unmarked grave in the mountains near a river bed, according to coroner's records.
