Luis Pozos-Huerta, a 27-year-old Latino, was shot several times and died Friday, July 23, in the 1700 block of South Longwood Avenue in Mid-City, according to the Los Angeles County coroner's office.Pozos-Huerta, of Los Angeles, was found lying next to his car in the early morning when officers responded to a report of shots fired.
Police think Pozos-Huerta was parking his car at the time of the shooting, but they know of no motive and have no description of a suspect, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
