Lynette Lucero

Lynette Lucero, 47, a Latina woman, was killed and two men were wounded in a shooting just after 1 a.m. Thursday, July 5, in the 3400 block of Alice Street in Cypress Park. She died at 3:41 a.m. The group was standing in a driveway when it was attacked.

Update: LAPD Northeast detectives have cleared this case. The suspect is Latino. She was not the intended victim, the investigation revealed. The suspect was gunning for neighbors of hers who were associated with a gang. He wounded two of these rival gang members, then turned the gun Lucero who happened to be standing nearby for unknown reasons.

Chata you are a great person that is and always will be missed! You were taken way too soon but you know what they say "only the good die young." We miss seeing your crazy self running around the streets schooling us on what's right and wrong. Auntie Lynette I can't believe it's been almost 3 years now since you left us and it still hurts so much. Not a day goes by that I don't think about you. I miss you so much and I wish my son would have had the chance to know his auntie. You will live forever in my heart and I cherish all the memories we have together. Love you always.

Hey Cutie Patutie its going to be 4 years since you were taken from us We miss you everyday and my life has and will never be the same.. no one can take that place in my heart because it was taken with you.. the kids are growing so quickly but we think of you everyday.. Lynette, as the holidays pass or something great happens in my life I have no one to share it with, you were my very best friend no matter what we went through we made a vow to keep our friendship strong and thank you for making our friendship a wonderful one.
