Mario Chirinos, 20

Died Feb. 25, 2007 at 11:27 p.m.

Mario Chirinos, 20, a Latino man, was shot in the torso while talking outside with friends in the 14400 block of Kittridge Street in Van Nuys at 11:27 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 25. Police said several Latino men approached the group, asked where Chirinos was from, then started firing. Chirinos' friends drove him to a nearby hospital, where he died. Anyone with information is asked to call detectives at (818) 374-0040.
