Markeith Wilson, 25, and Travelle Hamblett, 31, both black men, were shot in a drive-by shooting at 88th and Bandera streets in the Florence area about 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said Wilson and Hamblett were standing on the sidewalk when two Latino men in a dark-colored vehicle pulled up next to them. One of the men in the car shot Wilson and Hamblett. Hamblett was pronounced dead at the scene. Wilson was taken by ambulance to St. Francis Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead three days later.
Authorities said deputies later arrested two Latino men on suspicion of murder; their vehicle had been spotted in the area moments after the shooting.
That same day about 11:30 p.m., a mile away, Marco Gonzalez, 16, a Latino youth, was shot and killed at Florence and Graham avenues. Gonzalez, listed above, was the third person to have been shot that day in the Florence area.

Maybe the LA Times can follow up on whether charges were filed.

I love & miss u monk..its been ah yr & ah half..& I still caint believe this..life is so hard wit out u..it was like u was everybody back bone..I think about u a lot more like all day everyday..my brother is up there wit u now..& ill see u when I get home.. I luv both of yall & will never 4 get yall and all the joy yall put in my life

I'm pretty sure this was Florencia 13 that shot these men it was Florencias territory where the men were shot and as well as the motive Florencia 13 are under strict orders from the Mexican Mafia or La Eme to cause harm to any African American thats my take on this
