Marlon Harvey, 38

Died Oct. 26, 2010

Marlon Harvey, a 38-year-old black man, was shot and killed Tuesday, Oct. 26, in the 1300 block of West 95th Street in Westmont, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

South L.A. sheriff's deputies responded to a "gunshot victim down" call about 7:30 p.m., according to a Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department news release.

When authorities arrived, they found Harvey suffering from several gunshot wounds. Paramedics were called and he was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

According to coroner's records, Harvey was shot in the back, neck and chest.

Witnesses to the shooting said a black man walked up to Harvey and shot him with a handgun and then ran west on 95th Street, across Normandie Avenue, officials said.

Anyone with information about the shooter or the circumstances leading up to Harvey's death is asked to contact the sheriff's homicide bureau at 323-890-5500. Tipsters who would like to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477.

We where friends since the 7th grade and marlon will always be my friend. Ps you youngsters who where a part of this understand you killed a loved one and many of us will pray that hell houses you and your.
