Marquise Ortiz was a child of God who has returned to his heavenly father's home to join those before and to meet those to come. To the family mourn and rejoice it is a bittersweet blessing that we knew he existed and touched many lives of those who will miss the physical person, Young Black Man that he was, god bless us all.

So many of our youth are losing there lives senselessly, over nothing. I live in Bakersfield, but i'm originally from Compton. Youth violence is everwhere & it is hard to avoid. There is always someone out there trying to make a name for themselves. My prayers to the family & friends.

No the world is not messed up Cali is,you have over 100k gang bangers in just LA,and growing, they are so much of a coward that they rather shot then be a man and go fist to fist, people from Cali are not normal and never will be a great state, your police and politicians just don't care.

— enough, there's plenty of violent gangs in all of the big cities.
Did it ever occur to you you that there seems to be so many gangs here, is because we are a big city?
Before you make some sweeping generalizations about this city (of which you undoubtedly have never visited), look at the FBI reports on violent street gangs in other large cities.
And for the record, just what city do you live in? I'd love to know so I can pick apart your statements.

GANG CULTURE. L.A. IS A VERY UNIQUE TOWN. The Gang culture in L.A. was allowed to expand AND GROW unchAllenged by the police and law abiding citizens in L.A. . Period. Now, other parts of the country have been infected with the L.A. gang culture in big and small towns alike. Period -SYSCOM3!!
