Maxwell Laguna, an 18-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Saturday, May 8, at the corner of Sandy Hook Avenue and Sauder Street in West Puente Valley, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Laguna was at a party Saturday evening when he got into an argument and was shot, said Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office.
Authorities were called, and Laguna was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:22 p.m., Winter said.

he was a good man with a big heart. We all know he is in a better place know watching out for his family his girlfriend and his baby soon to come. Always in our hearts.

i didnt know maxwell "rival" laguna for too long but in the past 10 months or so tht ive known him he was a great man nd he will be truly missed ill be waiting for that day tht we can all see him again ill see u in heaven gee dnt trip u didnt die in vain

i met maxwell through my boyfriend they were friends. n i got to know him. he was very respect and a good person. it sucks he had to go soo soon but he will be deeply missed by alot of people. i hope he's in a better place and my prayers go out to his family and close ones. rest in paradise
