Michael Douver, a 21-year-old black man, was fatally shot Wednesday, Nov. 16, in the 1300 block of West 84th Place in Vermont Knolls, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Douver, of Los Angeles, was shot about 3 p.m. as he and another man rode mini-bikes near 84th Place and Normandie Avenue. A shooter in a green Ford Taurus pulled up to the riders and fired at both men.
Douver was pronounced dead at 3:29 p.m. at California Hospital Medical Center, said Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office. Coroner's records show Douver suffered several gunshot wounds to the head, back and torso.
The second victim, also in his 20s, was wounded and taken to Centinela Hospital, where he was in stable condition, said Wendy Reyes, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles Police Department.
There are two suspects in the case, Reyes said, and the investigation was continuing.
The shooting is believed to be gang-related.

smh, i still cant believe that he is gone !! i just cant believe it. this is rediculouse. whaat makes somebody hate another person that much to kill him... and dont even personally know them ! thats crazyy..... may god be with him family..

Its crazy that i met him at henry clay when he transferred there when i first saw him he caught my eye yes it was only.junior high but that where our puppy love started he was my 1st love even after that we remained friends he always made me smile and i miss him dearly rip mike ur forever in my heart i will never forget bout u love u.

He was my baby brother. Words can never express how much I love and miss him. Michael I pray you know how much you are loved and missed. I'm sorry that this happened to you but I know that you are close to your grandparents. I love you soo much and although you didn't make it to come see me in New York. I pray we meet in the next life. I love you baby brother may your soul rest in peace.

its a sad case when a young lfe is taken and the person who took the life has no remorse or empathy for his loved ones. i loved Michael entirely too much and being the last woman on earth to see him alive still haunts me. i was supposed to be walking with him that day but ended up not going because my stomach told me i was hungry therefore i decided to detour and get something to eat. he was a sweet, compashionate , intelligent young man and i will miss him dearly:( the love we had for one another can never be replaced. i love you and may the Lord keep you honey. we love and miss you very much.
