Michael Silva, a 39-year-old Latino, was stabbed to death Saturday, June 5, in the 7000 block of Glade Avenue in Canoga Park, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Topanga Area patrol officers responded to a 911 call described as “unknown trouble” at a residence about 2 a.m., according to an LAPD news release.
When officers arrived, they discovered Silva lying unconscious in the driveway with multiple stab wounds to his body, police said.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics were called, and they pronounced Silva dead at the scene, according to coroner's records.

Silva and suspect Jerry Wizer "were longtime acquaintances, detectives said. After consuming alcohol for several hours outdoors, they got into an argument that became physical, and Wizar pulled a knife and fatally stabbed Silva, said LAPD Det. Dave Peteque."
