Mihran Ashikyan, a 28-year-old Armenian man, was shot and killed Wednesday, Aug. 17, in the 800 block of North Oxford Avenue in East Hollywood, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Police said Ashikyan was walking to his vehicle about 4:20 p.m. when a black sport utility vehicle pulled up.
At least one attacker fired multiple shots, the Los Angeles Police Department said.
The victim was pronounced dead at a hospital.
Detectives suspect that the killer was a man. The motive for the shooting may have been connected to a dispute between the two men, police said.
