Died Nov. 7, 1985

Myrtle Collier, a 37-year-old black woman, was found dead on Hawthorne Boulevard in Lawndale on Nov. 7, 1985. 

Her body was found partially clothed and wrapped in a sheet by a passerby in an alley. She had died from strangulation. 

Authorities did not provide an address or additional information about this incident. They did describe her death as among the slayings believed to be connected to an unidentified serial killer operating in the South L.A. area.
