Nate Lopez-Garcia, a 6-month-old Latino, died Tuesday, June 7, more than two months after he sustained trauma in the 3000 block of East Theresa Street in Long Beach, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office, said the child sustained head trauma on March 29. He was taken to the hospital where he remained until his death on June 7 at 9:45 p.m.
Nate's mother has been taken into custody in connection with his death, Winter said. He had no other information about the case.
The Times has contacted investigators to obtain additional details about the case and will post an update as soon as possible.

How can anyone explain this?
6 months old and died of homicidal violence! Hard to read about these little babies dying in such a fashion.
Heartbreaking is all I can say.

i hope the person who took this angel from our world gets the worse beating of his or her life . there is no words that can express what i would do if i had in front of me the person who took this innocent baby boys life ,that person would be in so much pain they would be begging for lethal injection..because there is no excuse for hurting a 6 month old baby boy who cant defend himself
