Omar Rascon

Omar Rene Rascon, 18, a Latino young man, was shot in the torso at 849 Oceanside St. in Wilmington at 11:45 p.m. Saturday, April 14,. Rascon was at a party; an argument started outside and escalated to gunshots. He died at 12:45 a.m. Sunday, April 15. Another Latino man, 21, was wounded but survived.

Update: LAPD Harbor detectives have cleared this case. At least one latino suspect was arrested.

Unfortunately the gang problem in those areas is deeply rooted with too many people enabling that lifestyle.
