Paul Ames, a 26-year-old white man, was fatally shot Friday, Aug. 26, in the 38900 block of Juniper Tree Road in Desert View Highlands, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Ames was shot during a fight at a house about 10:39 a.m., said Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office.
Authorities were called and Ames was pronounced dead at the scene 15 minutes later. Coroner's records show he suffered gunshot wounds to the chest and abdomen.
Winter said he did not know if a person had been arrested in connection with the killing.
