Pedro Xochipa, a 21-year-old Latino, was shot in the head July 4 in the 3400 block of Eagle Street in Boyle Heights and died the next day, according to the Los Angeles County coroner's office.
Xochipa was attending a Fourth of July party when there was an argument and confrontation, said Ed Winter, a spokesman for the coroner's office. Xochipa was shot during the argument, and the suspect fled the scene, Winter said.
The argument and shooting happened about 11:30 p.m., and Xochipa was pronounced dead at the hospital at 1:30 a.m. July 5.

His life was taken by an idiot, coward gang member. The suspect is serving his time in the men's central jail and I hope he rots in there. Funny thing is that the culprit swears up and down that he is innocent but everyone saw him shoot the victim.

I am glad to hear the person responsible for this crime was brought to justice. It gives hope for other people and families who are victims of street violence.
