Prithesh Dunn, a 15-year-old Asian youth, was shot Friday, Jan. 29, and died several days later, officials said.
Dunn was shot at Orange Grove and La Verne avenues in Pomona. Timmy Moore, a 17-year-old black youth, was also killed and another person was wounded.
Ed Winter, a spokesman for the coroner's office, said Dunn was shot in the head, leading to a traumatic brain injury. He was on life support until his death Tuesday, Feb. 2.
Police said they received "numerous calls" from witnesses reporting the shooting, which occurred shortly before 4 p.m. at Ted Greene Park.
Several youths have been charged as adults in connection with the killings, which authorities are calling gang-related. Dayveon Derrick Thomas, 17; Denzel Isaiah Omar, 14; Devin Adel Omar, 16; Johnny (Jru) Moore, 16; Samuel Boyd, 16; and Davontay Jenkins, 16, have each been charged with two counts of murder and one count of attempted murder.
The six youths are to be arraigned Feb. 24 in Pomona. They are being charged as adults, but because juvenile arrest records are not publicly released, racial identification is not available.

Prithesh Dunn and Timmy Moore were shot in the same incident. Moore was pronounced dead the same day, but Dunn stayed alive on life support until Feb. 2. Several young men have been charged with the killing, and we are working on a post.

murder was black on black, i kno the guys who got killed and hangin over there were "NeccLand Gangster crips 3x" they are located on the east side of pomona, not to firmiliar wit this set so idk any of there enemies, but it wasnt racial.

Prithesh Dunn is my son my son was a good boy.. He was not from no gang just becuase he lived in the area doesn't
make him involved with that stuff..my son didn't wanna be from no gang because some gangs had killed his uncle 3 years ago.. My son was a good and respectable student and in an medical intern program. Most of his life he was in an avid program for smart kids..My son was my world , i love and miss him ver much.. I am tired of people that don't know anything about my son saying anything negative about him....Prithesh sweety mom loves and misses you so much baby,My heart hurts and crys for you but i know your in a better place now where no one can hurt you baby i will see you again one day.. you will always be my baby and me your mom I love u so much baby..

Prithesh was very generous and very loving to everyone. Prithesh enjoyed family time and hanging out with his mom. Prithesh had many dreams and hope for his future. He wanted to be a Famous Chef. Prithesh enjoyed cooking and eating.

Its very sad Do know know someone would take someone else life.I PERSONALLY didnt know Prithesh But i should have my my boyfriend was his'PLAY BROTHER" & to hear him talk about him makes me feel like they took something away espaly when your boyfriend was that close to him it makes you fear. BUT MY THOUGHTS & PRAYERS GO OUT TO HIS FAM.&& i hope THE SHOOTERS FIND A REMOURS for what they did WHERE THE PARENTS? Young life lost. He could have been the president,Cheif or Medical person as mentioned by his mom.Yes AVID does help encourage out medium students in many ways.
I dont know Late Mr.P.Dunn or Ms.Dunn (mother)but Ms.Dunns old social network accounts told enough.Last name does not sound Asian but looks middle eastern.
There are too many things for everyone to learn from this.You can change name,shape,color,religion etc. but not character/attitude or bring back life. Mr.P. Dunn may have been extremly respectable,good, loveable,smart but he sure needed guidance & protection by parents as According to Ms Dunn the area seems not to be safe(uncle killed). That is sad. The murderers will suffer the conseq. ...Mr.P. Dunn RIP!

Prithesh was muhhh godd brother
i've known hiis familyy since birth.. him mom(myy god mother) and my mom grew up together..prithesh was a great person..he never harmed anyone and NEVER even thought or wanted to be in any kind of gang...he was very loving and helpful...he loved to cook and his favorite meal was chop sui...its sad that he isn't here anymore and all we have is memories...ii love u prithesh and now i know that u are in a better place and i will see u again....i hope the person who took my god brothers life gets the maximum time that they can give him....Prithesh you may be gone from this earth..but belive me u are not and will never be forgotten...

I knew the youth accused of the crime and I pray for all the families who have lost during this horrible event. The 2 brothers where always kind and polite when dealing with me, so this was all a shock more a nightmare. These boys where under 5 feet tall so tiny and thin with baby faces and bullied, but violence is never the answer now families are missing loved ones and our youth are losing the bright future they had ahead. This all needs to be prevented, since we for a fact dont know what our kids are doing beyond our eye sight.Young misguided and 2much time on their hands, and to think this is a park my children play at.
