Raivone Warren, a 32-year-old black man, was fatally shot Thursday, Sept. 23, near 115th Street and Croesus Avenue in Watts, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Warren was found in the street about 3:50 p.m. with several gunshot wounds, said Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office.

[Updated at 3:35, Sept. 30: LAPD criminal gang and homicide Det. Keri Potter, who is handling the case, said the shooter was described as a black male.

Potter also said although no one else was hurt during the shooting, it appeared the incident was gang-related.

Two reader comments about Raivone Warren

I hope I'm not putting my foot in my mouth, becuase the articule may be incorrect, but this man got, shot after an argument?
What happened to us as black men, when we could argue sensibly, ok you mite get stole on, but you lived to fight another day!
I grew up in Southeast San Diego, with the Lincoln Park Blood Gang, and yeah check youtube the set is real!!
But I stated this to that and my homies, and dudes from other sets may have argued, but it wasn't nothing that going toe to toe could not resolve... 32 years old wow I hate so many young black men are dying, get your weight up and stop killing one another. Gangs were initially created to protect each other, not destoy one another!!!
