Ramon Preciado Jr., a 19-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Monday, May 10, in the 600 block of North Rockvale Avenue in Azusa, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Preciado was approached by three people about 8:45 p.m., words were exchanged and he was shot, said Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office. The suspects fled after the shooting, Winter said.
The next day, authorities determined the shooting was gang-related.
Investigators identified the shooter as Jahziel Velenzo, a 17-year-old Latino. He's described as 5 foot 3 and weighs 160 pounds. Velenzo is currently at-large and should be considered to be armed and dangerous, the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department said.
Anyone with information about the incident or the whereabouts of Velenzo is asked to contact sheriff’s Homicide Dets. K. Lowe at (323) 890-5604 or R. Hernandez at (323) 890-5549.

who the Hell are any of you people? really? i attended whitcomb high school with ramon and let me let you in on a few facts. i'm white and mexican i don't have tattos piercings or drawn on eyebrows. i pride myself on my class. and for any of you stupid asses who are sitting here writing these comments i'm about to make you feel really dumb. he was the biggest sweetheart ever. he wasn't your average "cholo" he always smiled always laughed SUper loud and deep down inside he was a baby. it's too bad it had to be him. so before any of you judge again before knowing. i'd shut my stupid fat mouth. :) rest in peace<3 and btw thats not him in the mug shot idiot... thats the killer.

For the past 2 years a local tagging crew from Azusa called "FCK" has been in an ongoing war with the street gang Azusa 13. From the details and the location of the crime most likely the victim was from "FCK" and the gunman along with his 2 comrades are from Azusa 13. (Just Speculating)

Wow. Every1 jumps to thier own conclusions .i knew ramon since middle school..always makin me laugh. Always was so proud of his lil sister so mad that sumone wud raise thier kid that its ok to shot nd kill sum1!!! Who cares if he was a gangmember or knew gangmembers the fact of the matter is hes gone!! Rest in paradise! Love u always :)
