Raymond Benford, a 33-year-old black man, was fatally shot Monday, July 5, in the 1700 block of West 136th Street in Compton, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
The shooting occurred shortly before 10:30 a.m., the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said.
Benford was taken by an unknown person or people to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, authorities said.
Anyone with additional information about the incident is encouraged to contact the sheriff's homicide bureau at (323) 890-5500.

Wow big Razor....When I was down in T.I. You and Mel Dog helped me so much and never treated me different because I wasn't from Cali. I love you my guy. This hurts so bad I woulda never been able to push through that time without your laughs and jokes.
