Reginald Porter, a 53-year-old black man, was fatally shot Thursday, Nov. 10, in the 8900 block of South Main Street in Broadway-Manchester, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
LAPD Criminal Gang & Homicide Det. K. Potter, who is handling the investigation, said an acquaintance of Porter's became concerned about him because he was not responding to phone calls.
Authorities were alerted and Porter was discovered at a business with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene, Potter said.
There have been no arrests made in connection with the case and there is no description of the shooter.

No he wasn't adopted....he was the son of Rev. Leslie Porter. Good man with a kind heart! He didn't deserve this. I'm going to miss my father very much!!!!
