Rene Bravo, 24

Rene Bravo, a 24-year-old Latino man, was shot while sitting in his car at 4806 Figueroa St. in South Los Angeles on Saturday, Dec. 1, at about 11:10 p.m.

The suspect or suspects, possibly Latino men or youths, had walked up and fired into the car. Bravo had tried to escape, hitting the accelerator. Driving while wounded, he made it about two blocks, then lost control of the car, which crashed. He was taken to California Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 11:39 p.m. of a combination of gunshot wounds and injuries from the traffic accident.
