Renny Contreras Mendez, a 24-year-old Latino man, was shot once in the head while sitting in his parked truck in an alley behind the home of an ex-girlfriend at 623 E. 83rd St. in LAPD's 77th Street Division in South Los Angeles and died immediately
The shooting was at 10:28 p.m. Wednesday, May 16. Police believe he was a working man from South America and had been in the country about three years. Anyone with information is asked to call LAPD 77th Street Division at (213) 485-1385.
