Rewards offered in three killings

Authorities today announced a $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for killing Kevin Harris II, a 21-year-old black man.

Harris was shot and killed in the 3300 block of West 118th Place in Inglewood Sunday, Sep. 20, 2009. He was sitting in his car, which was parked outside of a music studio, at the time of the shooting.

A description of the suspect is not available. Detectives announced at a press conference that they had not established a motive in the killing and had exhausted all available leads.

A $10,000 reward also is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for killing Andrew Peppers, a 16-year-old black youth, and Draysean Earl, a 13-year-old black youth.

Peppers and Earl were shot and killed Tuesday, May 5, 2009, while standing with a group of teenagers in the 1400 block of South Temple Avenue in Compton. A gunman stood down the street and fired several shots at the teens, then drove off, authorities said.

The suspect was described as a black man, 19 to 20 years old, about 6 feet tall, wearing a royal blue T-shirt and black jeans.
