Ricardo Hernandez

Ricardo Hernandez, 20, a young Latino man, was shot multiple times while standing in a relative's garage at 10175 Laurel Canyon Blvd. in Pacoima at about 7:40 p.m. last night, Thursday, Dec. 13. He died at the scene immediately, at 7:42 p.m. Two Latino suspects then fled.

Shortly after, a police helicopter patrolling the area had spotted a car, driving fast and erratically, weaving in and out of traffic, said LAPD Foothill Patrol Capt. Ivan Minsal. The "airship" began tracking the car. Soon after, a radio broadcast came that described the car linked to Hernandez's murder, and the helicopter crew realized they were following the murder suspects. By the time patrol units on the ground caught up with the suspects, they had ditched the car and fled on foot. Police dogs tracked down one of them, however. The suspect, Pedro Serrano, was arrested in a yard; a second suspect remains outstanding.

it hurts to see all these ppl that died over stupid ppl that have no hearts that care soo little about other ppl, they kill ppl because they dont know the value of life, if u dont then why dont u go away instead of ruining a persons life and crushing there family? no one should have the power to kill anyone. its not ur decision..

Pedro Serrano was convicted of murder. The second suspect was found shot to death a couple of weeks after Ricardo Hernandez's murder.
