Richard Thompson, a 22-year-old black man, was fatally shot Friday, May 20, in the 1500 block of East 114th Street in Watts, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office, said Thompson was shot several times about 10:55 p.m. He was pronounced dead less than an hour later.
The circumstances of the shooting remain unknown, Winter said.
