Robert Robinson, an 8-year-old white boy, died Monday, Dec. 7, at a care facility in Los Angeles County where he had been taken following his near drowning two years earlier at a residence in Kern County, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Robert, coroner's records said, was a disabled child whose mother had a history of methamphetamine use who allegedly left him unattended. Although the incident took place in another county, because he died in Los Angeles County it appears as a homicide in the coroner's list.
