Emerick worked as a bouncer at the Vanguard Club in Hollywood. According to the press release, "Following an argument with the Hollywood club’s staff early Saturday,[suspect] Lee allegedly fatally shot Ron Emerick, who worked as a bouncer at the club. A second shot wounded a 22-year-old patron"
