Ronald Givens, 38

Died June 9, 2011 at 4:21 a.m.

Ronald Givens, a 38-year-old black man, was shot and killed Thursday, June 9, in the 1300 block of East 89th Street in Florence-Firestone, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

The shooting occurred around 4 a.m., said officials with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Givens' body was found in a parkway between the sidewalk and the street.

Neither Givens nor other family members live in the immediate vicinity of the residential area where the body was found, and it was unclear how Givens came to be there, according to his relatives.

Authorities ask anyone with information about Givens’ death to call the Sheriff's Department homicide bureau at (323) 890-5500. Tipsters who'd like to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-8477.

damn N-E-C u said u wasnt goin out like so many others by ur own. u a few years older than 38 by now i know. aint no good no where over there all fake n envious dumb stuff.now look u gone 2 u and 2 of ur brothers.man ur poor mom. nec-bone i hope u got it rite wit God .on 89 st. of all st. u get it?

Is this the same Ronald Givens that worked at Conoco Phillips oil refinery????? I really want to know, I used to work there and would see him daily. R.I.P
