Roshan Bhandari, 23

Died April 5, 2011 at 8:27 a.m.

Roshan Bhandari, a 23-year-old man, was found dead Tuesday, April 5, in the 10400 block of Artesia Boulevard in Bellflower, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office, said Bhandari was a convenience store worker and had just finished a shift about 8:05 a.m.

He was found shot next to his car about 8:10 a.m. Authorities were called and Bhandari was pronounced dead less than 20 minutes later, Winter said.

I'm curious to know, why is this man's race not disclosed? All other homicide reports report race, age and gender. By reading the man's name, it is obvious to me that this man was from Indian descent. Why does LA Times find it necessary to report Black, Latino, White and even Asian as a race, but cannot muster the words "Indian descent"? Just curious.
