Rudy Gamboa, a 21-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Sunday, Dec. 28. at Vine St. and Santa Monica Blvd. in Hollywood, according to the Los Angeles County coroner.
Gamboa was shot in the head, according to coroner's records.

rudy you were a part of us , i saw you everyday and had something funny to say all the time. i can say i have changed my life because of you. your death isnt just something to talk about is the reason i live today with my children. i miss you very much! my kids miss you and cry but we say you are in heaven now and we will see you there. rest in peace good friend.
