Ryan O'Connell, 29

Died March 13, 2010 at 10:54 p.m.

Ryan O'Connell, a 29-year-old white man, was shot to death Saturday, March 13, in the 1500 block of West 12th Place in Pico-Union, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

O'Connell was visiting friends late Saturday evening when he got into a dispute and was shot, said Det. John Motto of the Los Angeles Police Department's Rampart Division. Los Angeles City Fire officials were called, and they alerted police. O'Connell was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:54 p.m., according to coroner's records.

Although there were witnesses to the incident, no one has come forward to name a shooter, said Motto.

Again, no one saw a thing. Another example of the dysfunction that exists in these neighborhoods and the people who live in them.

Ryan my baby boy was my best friend he had the biggest heart and would do what he could for anybody.His mom was his hero and was so proud of her.his life was his mom and brother and when his son was born he could not have been a prouder father.my baby boy will be missed but never forgotten I love you baby boy may you rest in peace . Love your baby girl!!!
