Salvador Escalante

Salvador Escalante, 20, a young Latino man, suffered multiple gunshot wounds at about 9:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 26, at 10400 Orange Drive in Whittier, and died almost immediately, at 9:40 p.m. A second man was wounded but survived.

According to Whittier police, the pair were standing with a third man when a car drove up, and a man or youth in a dark hooded sweatshirt got out and fired a handgun, striking both.
