Scott Grant, 40, a black man, was killed in the same double-homicide in which Aric Lexing, below, died. The incident took place in the 4000 block of Stevely Drive in lower Baldwin Hills at about 3:30 a.m. Friday, July 20.
Grant was a Inglewood school district employee, according to Southwest Det. David Garrido.
He and Lexing were seated in a parked vehicle; Lexing got out of the car with a gunshot wound in his chest, made it about 40 feet and collapsed, Grant died inside the car. Grant's time of death was listed as 3:39 a.m.; Lexing's time of death was three minutes later.
