Scott Howard, a 53-year-old black man, was pronounced dead at 11:47 p.m. Monday, Nov. 12 at 1360 E. Pasadena St. in Pomona.
Pomona police said that their dispatchers got a 911 call from a Chevron gas sation at about 11:26 p.m. Nov. 12 from a woman who said that Howard had been shot inside a nearby apartment. Two people had forced their way in and directed the woman and Howard to a back room, where they shot Howard, she reported. Officers found him dead there.
