Sergio Negrete, a 21-year-old Latino, was fatally shot Friday, Feb. 17, in the 6000 block of Quinn Street in Bell Gardens, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office, said Negrete was the victim of a walk-up shooting.
He was shot about 5:50 p.m. and was pronounced dead at the scene, Winter said.
The incident was possibly gang-related.
