Shawn Eleby, a 24-year-old black man, was shot and killed while stopped in his car at the intersection of Cummings Lane and Butler Avenue in Long Beach shortly before 11 p.m. on Sunday, May 3, according to authorities.
Long Beach police said Eleby was in his green Pontiac when an unknown gunman walked up, shot him several times and then fled the area. Police had no description of the suspect.
